How do I get listed in the SHOUTcast directory?
Check SHOUTcast directory requirements for your station. The old listing process does not apply to VosCast's own streaming software.
Before you begin. The old SHOUTcast directory listing steps have been retired.
VosCast Server, our streaming software for new stations, does not use the old SHOUTcast directory listing process. Choosing SHOUTcast mode in your app only sets how the app sends audio. It does not request a SHOUTcast directory listing.
Older versions of this guide described a listing after about 30 minutes on air. Do not rely on that wait time or the old log messages to get a listing now.
If a directory listing matters to your station, ask VosCast support about the current options. Tell us which directory you need and which server your account uses. A working encoder or public listening link does not by itself confirm a directory listing.
